Ever since nag-boom ang internet
at naging laganap ang phenomenon
ng social media, madami na ang na-adik dito.
Do not get me wrong,
information is still power,
but in the wrong hands na-abuse ito.
Napansin ko na ginawa ng
avenue to air grievances
at for financial appeal ang social media
especially ang facebook.
I find some of the posts annoying,
honestly, kasi most of them do not
provide facts or the truth,
always one-sided.
In the time of fake news,
who is to say nga naman.
Everything and anything can be
edited,
photoshopped,
altered, contorted,
deleted and created.
I totally understand
people who resort to posting
in social media for sponsorship
patungkol sa medical purposes.
God knows, kung gaano kamahal
ang healthcare sa atin.
Million at billion pati kaluluwa
halos ibenta.
Even nga magpalibing, mamumulubi
ang tao.
I get the point din nung mga
awareness posts like yung
nagoorganize ng donation drives
for various calamities.
Ang di ko maintindihan
e yung mga nagcocomment.
Jesus Christ! Buddah and Allah talaga!
Puro #kmjs #tulfo #broadcastmedia.
How did it come to this?
That people have to resort to tv shows
instead of their own government to help them?
When instead of harnessing the power
of the internet to provide solutions,
e katangahan pa din pina-iiral.
People have to realize that
sensationalizing or by making
the issue public, they are opening
a can of worms.
Some media practioners would just
use the issue to further their own cause.
So instead of mafocus sa pangangailangan
e nagiging political protest or mockery
ang isyu.
Broadcast media is self-serving at times.
They always have to portray the news
in their own light or perspective kumbaga.
Kasi nga sponsors,
kasi nga poll\view results
kasi nga politika.
Si instead of tagging Jessica Soho or
the Tulfo brothers, sana kaunting gamit
naman ng brain at research.
The tools to help others is just there at our own fingertips.
